About Us

("What's New 2023", scroll to the bottom of this page)

Family Tradition Since 1974
Tree Farm Campground was built by Frank Bishop and first opened for business in the summer of 1974. In 1990, Jon and Toni Streeter bought the campground and managed it until their two sons, Gabe and Ben Streeter took over management in 2009. In 2014 Toni and Jon retired and turned the entire Tree Farm Campground business over to their son Ben Streeter.  Jon and Toni are still very much involved with Tree Farm while being able to enjoy more free time.  In 2015 Elizabeth Meuse joined the family business along side Ben and together they have been making improvements and adding new attractions to enhance their customers camping experience.
In 2019 Tree Farm Campground became the perfect backdrop for the wedding of the season. Ben and Elizabeth worked hard to upgrade the pavilion area to create the a memorable wedding experience for themselves. On October 26, 2019 Ben and Elizabeth said "I do" infront of 70 of their closest friends and family in the campground they love most, Tree Farm.
Tree Farm is a 50 acre campground with 73 campsites, with plans to add new rustic walk-in tent sites and upgrade existing sites. The campground is situated in a white pine forest, with most of the pines reaching heights of well over 120 feet! Tree Farm is surrounded by 100 acres of forest and hiking trails, and abuts Vermont's NEW Muckross State Park.

We are proud to offer our services from mid May to mid October! Hike our forest trails or bring your mountain bikes if you like! Come stay with us in the fall as we enjoy the breath-taking foliage Vermont is famous for. Tour Vermont's microbreweries and brew-pubs; we have a strong and proud beer culture here in the Green Mountain State! Enjoy some fresh apple cider from nearby orchards. Brows our quaint country stores. Visit our many wineries. Explore our wilderness.

Our small but efficient staff is dedicated to providing a friendly camping environment for our guests. We love Vermont and we cater to people who share our appreciation for nature and family fun.    Whether you are looking for a place to make camp for the night during you travels, or you are looking for a seasonal weekend getaway, Tree Farm Campground is perfect. Our campground is a place to escape the fast-paced life and to build memories and family tradition!

A Journey Through Visual Changes:
Elizabeth and Ben have been working through ways to adapt the campground, and its day-to-day operations, that make the job easier as Elizabeth's vision continues to change. Most returning guests know that Elizabeth lives with a degenerative eye disease known as Retinitis Pigmentosa, a disease that may one day render her blind. At this point most of her vision remains, although night time and peripheral vision have been effected. Please have patience and kindness in understanding that at times Elizabeth may not be available for evening support and may not see an out stretched hand poised for a shake, or a credit card placed on the counter ready for payment. You may even notice that a friendly wave may feel ignored but rather it has actually gone unnoticed, unseen.
The goal is to persevere, adapt, and to keep building a space where ALL  people are welcome to enjoy their love of the outdoors and spending time happily with one another for many more years to come.

WHAT'S NEW WITH TREE FARM CAMPGROUND?

What's New Season 2023:
* lots of changes came about last season while we adjusted to make everyone's stay safe and comfortable. Thinking outside the box we were able to deliver new activities in a socially distanced way while still keeping a fun filled camping experience.  We had a lot of positive feedback about our new offerings and brought back many of them this camping season while adding new ideas as well!
*NEW ACTIVITIES: -June will be our first "An Afternoon of Live Music" event to benefit families in need with their heating needs during the winter months. -Sept. Saturday Morning Yoga Stretch with Rene at our pavilion, free of charge! - Saturday, Cornhole tournament at the games green 4-6pm for adults only   -More popup happenings.
*New trails map to help find your way around our 142 acre property and beyond.
*Bathroom reno and construction: Pardon our Appearance as we prepare to upgrade our current bathhouse prior to our construction of an additional all inclusive one across the park.  The piece of property across from the propane fill station may look a little disheveled this season as we clear it to make way for a new bathhouse that will be handicap accessible, family friendly, and non-gender specific so that ALL of our guests will have a space that works best for them.
*NEW propane fill station via BART Energy! New and improved. Certified tank inspections will also be available for a $25 fee. Open to the public.
*New store items and crafts made by our very own Elizabeth.

TFCG IS "OPEN TO ALL!"

No one should have to worry about whether they will be denied service or face hostility as they go about their daily lives simply because of who they are. That’s why we took the pledge to be #OpenToAll! Join us! www.OpenToAll.com/ business-pledge
Tree Farm Campground is proud to be "Open to All."  In uncomfortable times like these, it's easy to stay silent and shut everything out. While we don't usually use our social media to write about socially charged topics, we want to let our customers know that we will use our platform right now to condemn racial injustice

Open to All is a national nondiscrimination campaign that believes everyone should be welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, immigration status, religion or disability. We believe we all have something to contribute. We believe we can all learn from each other. We believe that when we work together, when we value our employees, when we care for our customers and each other, we all thrive

Stay with us! Play with us! Rejuvenate with Us!
