Q: Is that a nice site? A: We believe ALL of our sites are nice sites in all honesty. We do our best to put you on a site that accommodates the size of your camper. All of our sites are large both in length and width. They all have trees between you and your neighbor. You will never feel like your awning is going to touch another camper. Although in the end its really your opinion about what a "nice site" means to you.
Q: What is your deposit rate? A: 1 night deposit for a two night reservation, minus holiday weekends. 1-4 night deposit for holiday weekends, and stays 3-6 nights. 3 night deposit per week reserved. Deposits are Non-refundable. a reservation may be moved 1 time within the current season to an alternative date that is not a holiday weekend at HALF THE RATE. No option to move your reservation if you cancelled on a holiday weekend.
Q: How Many People can i have on my site? A: You may reserve with up to 4 adults and 4 children and you may have up to 4 adult and 4 children day guests in addition.
Q: Do you have group camping? How many sites can i reserve? A: No, we do not have group camping. You may reserve 3 to 4 sites. People enjoy TFCG for its quite peaceful atmosphere without the large groups. If you are looking for a campground that offers large group camping we'd be happy to make some recommendations for you.
Q: Do you have a field that I can camp in? A: No. Our field is for pavilion use only.
Q: Can you accommodate a 40 ft camper? A: No we cannot. We have 4 sites that can fit campers up to 35 ft. We do like to let folks know that the roads within the campground are dirt and that you the layout of the campground requires folks to make a few turns. We respect that folks have varying degrees of comfort navigating campgrounds with their large campers and are happy to answer your specific questions about parking your campers within the campground. We want your stay at Tree Farm Campground to be enjoyable and your vacation in Vermont to be memorable from the start. We will be open and honest with you about our sites and respect your decision to camp elsewhere if you feel uncomfortable navigating your 35ft campers within our grounds.
Q: Do you have wifi? A: Yes we do. We offer limited Wifi availability throughout the campground. The best connections are nearest the lodge but often folks can connect throughout the grounds. To ensure connectivity many guests use their own wifi hotspots.
Q: Do you have cable or satellite connections? A: We do NOT have cable in the campground. We are in the dense forest, satellite reception does not work. We DO have a DVD lending library and a DVD player that you can pay to rent on those rainy days.
Q: Do you have onsite laundry facilities? A: sorry, we do not. However, we have two laundromats in town less than 2.5 miles from the campground. Q: What happens if i want to check-in after 7 p.m.? A: You must call the office during office hours to make arrangements. If you did not make a reservation, or arrangements for a later a arrival, prior to 7pm you will not be able to stay that evening and will have to wait till 8 a.m. the following morning to make arrangements. Latest arrival time is 10pm, (quite hours). Please be respectful of volume and dim your headlights whenever possible if you should arrive late.
Q: Do you have a pool or water for swimming, fishing or boating in your campground? A: We do not have water on our campground for swimming, fishing or boating but we do know where some of the best local spots are within a 10 to 45 minute drive from the campground. we do have a small stream with a small waterfall that is a short 1/2 mile hike to on grounds. We are also within a mile hike to the new Muckross State Park that has a large 10 acre pond open to the public.
Q: Do you allow pets? A: Yes we do! we love animals. Campers are allowed to bring no more than 3 animals. All animals must be up-to-date with their immunizations, not excessive barkers, and good tempered. Dogs may not be left alone at a campsite for more than a hour and must be in the camper if you do leave them behind. You must leave us with a phone number to call you if your animal becomes distressed and we need you to return to the park. All animals must be leashed when outside. We will ask you to leash your animal if we see them wondering the campground loose. Please pick-up after your pet, this includes cleaning up waste and filling in holes.
Q: Do you have a space where dogs can run free? A: Yes we do! we built a fenced in dog park! We try to keep dog waste bags supplied for folks and we have a trash can right in side to make clean-up easy. We even put a bench in the park so that folks can relax while their pooch runs around. Full rules for the dog park can be found attached to the fence in the park.
Q: Can i drive in and stay at your park anytime without a reservation? A: No, a prior reservation is needed. Simply call the day of, prior to arrival during business hours to find out if we have availability and to make arrangements for your arrival. There are NO 24 hour open spots.
Q: Do you take credit or debit cards? A: Yes we do! Visa or Mastercard. If you are making a reservation online we will e-mail you an invoice that you can pay with credit card.
Q: Are you open all year round? A: We are open 5 months out of the year, the 2nd weekend of May through the 2nd weekend in October. We DO NOT have winter camping.
Q: Do you have camper rentals or cabins? A: Sorry, we do not have onsite rentals. Our 5 year plan is to build 3 or 4 lean-tos. Q: Do you have guests that live at your campground? A: No, we do not. We are a non-residential campground. Seasonal guests pay to leave their camper at TFCG but they are only allowed to stay in their camper for a maximum of 90 days. Most Seasonal guests visit weekends or holidays.
Q: What are your rules? A: These are our seasonal guest rules, the rules for folks who park their campers here for the season. Some of these rules do not apply to our "off road reservation guests," most do though. not all rules are here, please view additional rules in your confirmation and in your welcome packet. All rules are subject to change without notice. -Visitors: . Visitors MUST register at the office to receive a parking pass and to pay all guest fees, $8 day fee or $10 overnight fee. All day guests must leave by 9p.m. -Children: We hope that all children have a safe and fun filled time at TFCG, but you are responsible for their safety and behavior. WE WILL ASK YOUR CHILD TO RETURN TO THEIR SITE IF THERE IS A CONCERN. Children must be supervised; it is not the campground staffs’ responsibility. No child may hang out in the restrooms or lodge buildings unless accompanied by an adult or if there is a specified child activity scheduled that DOES NOT request a guardian to be present. Children must RETURN to their campsite no later than 9:00 pm. -Pets: We love pets. Owners must have all required vaccinations of any pet they bring into the campground up-to-date. Records must be easily accessible should there be an altercation. NO EXCESSIVE BARKING, PETS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES, and Please pick-up after your pet. Non-Seasonal Guests may NOT LEAVE THEIR PETS BEHIND at their campsite longer than an hour. -Emergencies: For life threatening emergencies please call 911. For campground emergencies please use the intercom located near the office, or call (802) 885-2889. Office hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. If it is not an emergency please WAIT TO REACH MANAGEMENT DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. -Quiet Hours: People enjoy TFCG because of the peaceful quite surroundings. Please be respectful of quiet hours, 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. We also ask that you keep a respectful volume at all times, especially in regards to radios or TV. If you have concerns with noise please notify management. -Projectors and movie screens: We do NOT allow the use of outdoor projector and movie screens. We are a quiet and peaceful camping establishment and most guests come to retreat from technology and noise. Screens can be viewed by all guests and many do not want to see them, nor do we want to police what our guests choose to watch to make sure it is appropriate for all guests. Please enjoy your movie watching inside your camper. If you have a small TV camper please be respectful of volume if you choose to watch outside and refrain from outdoor viewing during quiet hours 10pm-7:30am. -Fireworks: PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES! They are illegal in Vermont and are grounds for immediate expulsion from the campground and risk permanent expulsion. Noise poppers, smoke makers, and any other firework related devices are nuisance and are also not allowed. -Drugs & Alcoholic Beverages: The legal age to drink alcohol is 21. The person renting the site is responsible for the behavior of all their invited guests. Persons who become disrespectful or belligerent will be asked to leave the campground immediately and risk permanent expulsion. While marijuana use is legal in Vermont, TFCG prohibits the smell of marijuana within the campground. -Fires & Fire Rings: DO NOT MOVE the fire rings. Fire rings are placed in regulation with town fire codes. Fires are permitted inside the fire rings only. -You may NOT use outside firewood unless granted permission by TFCG management. You will be asked to remove your firewood if it was not purchased at TFCG and/or the State of VT. -FIRES MUST BE ATTENDED TO AT ALL TIMES by an adult and must be kept at a safe & reasonable size & intensity. Management reserves the right to extinguish any fire that is deemed unsafe. - Please DO NOT BURN ANYTHING OTHER THAN PAPER GOODS or WOOD! Do Not throw glass, cans, plastic, metal objects, bottle caps, nails, cigarettes, or other non-paper items into the fire. Management reserves the right to extinguish any fire that smells of burning materials other than paper goods or wood. -Wildlife: Anyone caught harassing or harming any animal in any manner will be expelled from the campground immediately and indefinitely. -Trees & Brush: No cutting down or braking any trees, brush or flora of any kind. Dead sticks may be gathered and burned but please Do Not Drag out Large Logs or Trees to drape over your fire. -Trash & Recycling: NO LITTERING will be tolerated. Trash & Recycling cans are available throughout the campground, please use them. RECYCLING is REQUIRED by the STATE of VERMONT, please help us and do your part so we don’t have to sort through your trash. Trash cans are provided for easy use while you enjoy your stay. Cans and dumpsters are not for your private use to dispose of your trash brought from home. NO FURNITURE, LARGE BOXES, PROPANE TANKS, CLOTHING, or EQUIPMENT may be disposed of at the campground. Take them home with you! A Fee of $15 per item will be charged if found responsible. A list of Items to be recycled is proved upon check-in or at the office. -Electric Heaters: No electric heaters of any kind; they are very dangerous and are a fire hazard. -Vehicles: 1 per site, 2 if it fits without going into the interior roadway. -NO ATVS, 4 Wheelers, dirt bikes, golf carts are allowed on or near the campground unless permission is given by TFCG management. -Campsite Appearance: Please limit the decorations around your campsite to no more than 5 pieces, as they interfere with maintenance and grounds keeping. If you choose to anchor items into the ground we are not responsible for any damage that may occur to them. Please DO NOT attach ANY decorations to trees as they may be used for lumber at future date and nails ruin the quality of the wood. -Outside Lighting: Limited to one 30 ft. strand of lights beyond those attached to your camper. No flood lights, halogens, or bug lights allowed. -Gazebos, Screen Tents, & Tarps: 1 screen tent or Gazebo no larger than 94 sq. ft. is permitted per sight. Structures must be neutral in color; green, brown, or beige. Tarps Are Not Permitted without prior approval. -No Political Candidate Flags, signs, etc.: We respect everyone's choice to support whomever they choose. We choose to keep politics out of our space for a variety of reasons. if we see a political flag or sign for any candidate for an political party, (or any other controversial flags) you will be asked to remove it.
